In addition, Dr Jin Hai Wang presented a paper which was well received and generated further enquiries. The paper reviewed the properties and uses of biocompatible materials made using polymers incorporating phosphorylcholine, and focussed on new developments, including coatings in combination with active antimicrobial agents, and new materials designed for use in ophthalmic applications.
